Wind Energy in Egypt: Economic Feasibility for Cairo
08 February 2012This report, prepared by the German University in Cairo, addresses the economic feasibility of installing stand alone wind energy technology by an industrial customer who seeks to reduce his dependency on the national grid.
Estimates revealed that Cairo has poor wind resources. However, financial analysis has shown that the wind project can prove to be financially viable.
The paper concludes that harnessing wind energy through stand alone systems can help in meeting the industries electric power needs.
