Australia to Build New Power Plant

07 August 2007 15:00

Transport and energy infrastructure company Alstom is set to build a new €250m power plant in Sydney, Australia.

Under the contract, Alstom is responsible for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the GT13-based power plant. The plant will include GT13E2 gas turbines, step-up transformers and plant control systems.

The plant - located 120km north of Sydney - has been designed to provide power during peak demand periods.

The Colongra power plant will be built next to Delta Electricity's existing coal-fired plant on the New South Wales central coast.
