E.ON Buys Spanish Wind Farms08 August 2007 11:38 German power and gas company E.ON will buy Spanish wind farm operator Energi E2 Renovables Ibéricas from the Danish utility Dong Energy for €722m. Currently E2-I generates electricity in Spain and Portugal from renewables with a net capacity in operation of 260MW. Modern wind farms account for most of that capacity, with smaller hydropower and biomass plants making up the rest.
