US to Power Up Florida State

US state Florida could expand its nuclear power capabilities with two new power plants as part of a drive to promote cleaner energies.

Energy company Florida Power & Light is due to file proposals to expand its power production by 400MW by the end of the year.

The company says the projects are designed to meet the region's increasing energy needs as well as achieving government goals to reduce greenhouse gases.
