Danes to Lead World in Biofuels19 September 2007 12:13 Danish energy company DONG is building an ethanol factory in Denmark as it competes with global powers to become the first to establish a large-scale commercial biomass plant by 2010. The company could join forces with Norwegian oil and gas company Statoil and bioethanol enzyme producer Novozymes to produce bioethanol biofuel, according to Danish publication Copenhagen Capacity. The plant will be located in Kalundborg, 100km west of Copenhagen where DONG owns a large power station.
