Kashiwazaki Closure Pushes Tepco to The Edge

Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) says it expects company profits to plummet into the red this year, following the earthquake that has seen its Kashiwazaki-Kariwa plant closed since mid-June.

It is not only the earthquake that has caused problems though – skyrocketing energy prices have also hit the company which is struggling to repair its troubled power station.
