SunPower Builds Solar Plants in Spain09 November 2007 15:29 US-based solar technology manufacturer SunPower is to build three solar electric power plants in Spain totalling 21MW. The three plants located in Tinajeros, Manzanares and Almuradiel, south-east of Madrid, will be owned by affiliates of Spanish renewable energy company the Naturener Group. The plants will be built using the SunPower Tracker system which enables solar panels to automatically follow the sun throughout the day, which is designed to deliver up to 25 percent more power output than traditional fixed systems, according to the company.
