Austrian Company Buys Chinese Wind Credits

Austrian company Kommunalkredit Public Consulting will buy carbon credits for 3.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent from Chinese wind power producer China Longyuan Power Group.

Longyuan's eight wind farms will help Kommunalkredit meet Austria's Kyoto commitments by offsetting its emissions following the deal.
