Nuclear Power Stations Producing Less Electricity

Nuclear plants around the world are producing less electricity than five years ago, according to a new study.

Decreases were found in 21 of the 31 countries with nuclear power stations, with the number of nuclear reactors dropping by five to 439 since 2003, according to the study commissioned by the European Green Party.

The US has the highest number of nuclear reactors at 104, providing 19.4 percent of the country's electricity.
