Algeira to Build First Combined Cycle Power Plant05 December 2007 16:08 French engineering company Alstom and construction contractor Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) have been awarded a €1.35bn contract to build the first combined cycle power plant in Algeria. Awarded by Algerian state-owned electricity company Sonelgaz, the OCI contract includes engineering, procurement and construction services at the plant located in Terga Wilaya de Ain Temouchent, 600km west of the capital Algiers.
