UK Decides On Nuclear Power

07 January 2008 16:00

The UK Government is expected to announce its decision on Thursday whether to build new nuclear power stations.

Ministers are expected to debate the issue at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, when it was initially believed the decision would be announced.

A large majority of ministers have already indicated they back nuclear power to produce clean energy and meet the UK's future energy needs.
