France Boosts Hopes Of Saudi Nuclear Programme

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has offered Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah help in exploring a possible civilian nuclear energy programme, following a visit to the kingdom yesterday.

The president has offered King Abdullah the services of France's Atomic Energy Commission, writes Associated Press.

The two leaders also signed agreements on oil and gas and political cooperation.
