US Wind Power Up 45 Percent18 January 2008 16:20 US wind power grew by 45 percent in 2007, the sharpest rise since the 1980s, according to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA). The industry installed 5,244MW in 2007, accounting for 30 percent of all new electricity-generating capacity.
