Iran Plant Receives Half Of Nuclear Fuel

21 January 2008 17:05

Russia has delivered more than half of the nuclear fuel for Iran's first atomic power plant after a fourth consignment arrived on Sunday, according to the official IRNA news agency.

Start-up of the plant has been delayed and the project is still under construction due to a dispute between Russian contractors and Iran over payments.

The 40t of remaining fuel is scheduled to arrive at the plant in Bushehr in separate shipments over the coming months.
