UK and India Biofuels Venture

25 January 2008 14:27

UK-based biofuels systems manufacturer Regenatec has teamed up with Indian renewables company CleanStar to create the world's first sustainable biofuel company.

The merger – RegenaStar – will combine agro-biology technology and Regenatec's plant oil fuel technology, to supply cheap oil for biofuel.

RegenaStar intends to become the "world's first genuine fair-trade fuel company, based on social and ethical standards, with full transparency of operations," says Regenatec founder and CEO Mike Lawton.

Regenatec designs, manufactures and markets conversion systems for diesel engines which operate on low-carbon, pure plant oil (PPO).
