Suzlon to Power Australian Wind Project05 February 2008 15:47 Suzlon Energy Australia has won an order to supply Australian renewable energy company Pacific Hydro with 27 wind turbines, generating a total of 56.7MW. The turbines will be built in South Australia, in a project named Clements Gap Wind Farm, approximately 250km north of Adelaide. The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, and a five-year maintenance contract, scheduled for completion in early 2010. The Australian Federal Government has committed to increase renewable energy targets to 20 percent by 2020.
