French energy firm Alstom is to build a €1.3bn coal-fuelled power plant for South African power utility Eskom.
The Bravo power plant will be built near Witbank in the northeastern Mpumalanga province and will have a capacity of 4,740MW.
Alstom will provide six steam turbine engines capable of providing 790MW each, as well as six turbo-generators and other equipment.
