Toshiba Creates US Nuclear Business

Engineering and software giant Toshiba Corp. has announced the creation of a new nuclear unit based in the US – Toshiba America Nuclear Energy Corp.

The company, which builds on Toshiba's existing nuclear business, hopes to build advanced boiling water nuclear power plants and provide support for related services.

Toshiba also plans to expand the scope of its operations including providing engineering support related to constructing new nuclear power plants, writes Associated Press.
