Reliance Energy Reports Profits Rise

India's Reliance Energy has reported a rise in full-year net profit, driven by growth in electrical energy revenues, according to the company.

The country's largest integrated private sector power utility says its consolidated net profit for the year to end-March rose 41 percent to Rs11.78bn.

The company sold 9.29 billion units of electrical energy, an increase of six percent year-on-year.

Total revenue rose 26 percent to Rs97.60bn (US$2.43bn).
