Wind Farms Planned for Turkey29 April 2008 11:55 Epuron, a project development company for the renewables industry, has teamed up with Turkish construction company Ataseven to build large wind parks in Turkey. The two companies have submitted ten wind energy projects to produce a total power output of 3,000MW to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for approval. "Turkey is one of the strongest wind energy growth markets in the Mediterranean," says Epuron CEO Joachim Müller. Renewable energy is on the rise in Turkey as the country's electricity needs are set to increase by almost 50 percent within the next five years, says Epuron's sister company Conergy AG.
