NALCO Prepares for Indonesian Power Plant15 May 2008 16:11 India's National Aluminium Co (NALCO) is securing coal supplies for a proposed 750MW power plant in Indonesia, the company has announced. The company has so far shortlisted up to three coal mines in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. The company also recently invited bids for a feasibility study to build 50MW wind power plants near its mines and plants, writes Reuters. NALCO is currently in the midst of US$1.2bn expansion, including plans to set up smelters in South Africa, Iran and Saudi Arabia to power all its projects.
