Renewables Law Advances in US

16 May 2008 16:34

Legislation that would renew billions of dollars in tax breaks for solar, wind, biomass and other renewable energy sources was given a glimmer of hope in the US House of Representatives today, writes Reuters.

The bill approved by the Ways and Means Committee would extend about US$54bn in expiring tax breaks for renewable energy sources, while also extending a proposed new tax credit for ethanol fuels not produced from corn.
