GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy has announced a partnership with Bechtel Corporation for both companies to provide a full range of decommissioning and dismantlement services for nuclear power plants.

Based in the US, Bechtel is an engineering, project management, and construction services provider, whereas GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy provides advanced reactors and nuclear services.

The partnership will provide services in Germany and Sweden.

Huaneng Power International has raised CNY3bn ($435m) in a public offering of 3.6% super short-term debentures.

Due September 2017, the debentures are intended to supplement the company’s working capital and adjust the debt structure of its headquarters.

Based in China, Huaneng Power International is engaged in the development, construction, operation, and management of power plants.

St1 Nordic Oy has formed joint venture Grenselandet with a consortium of Vindkraft Nord and Ny Energi to develop windfarms in the country’s northern region.

Both the joint venture partners are based in Norway.

Grenselandet will develop Davvi and Borealis windfarms, with capacities of 900MW and 200MW, respectively.
