Yushan Energy has formed a joint venture (JV) with Northland Power to develop the Hai Long offshore windfarm project in the Taiwan Strait.

The Hai Long JV is 40% owned by Enterprize Energy and 60% owned by Northland Power.

The windfarm is approximately 50km offshore Changhua at water depths between 30m and 50m. It will have an initial installed capacity of 700MW, which would increase to 1.2GW in later stages.

IREN has raised €500m ($543.95m) through private placement of its 0.875% bonds due 4 November 2024 as part of its €1.5bn ($1.631bn) Euro medium term note (EMTN) programme.

Joint book-runners for the offering were Banca IMI, The Goldman Sachs Group, Mediobanca-Banca di Credito Finanziario, Morgan Stanley, and UniCredit Group.

Voltalia has announced the issue of warrants, priced at €7.46 ($8.11) each, to raise €169.52m ($184.41m).

As part of the transaction, Voltalia will issue 22,723,610 new shares and every shareholder in the company will receive one warrant for every share held on 24 October. In addition, every 15 warrants will entitle the shareholder to subscribe for 13 new shares from 25 October to 31 October.

The transaction is expected to close on or around 8 November.
