Spanish manufacturing company Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica has been awarded its first order by French renewable energy producer Voltalia to supply 27.3MW wind turbines in Brazil.

Gamesa will deliver 13 of its G114-2.1MW turbines to Voltalia's Vila Acre wind facility in the state of Rio Grande do Norte  in North-Eastern Brazil.

"Gamesa will deliver 13 of its G114-2.1MW turbines to Voltalia's Vila Acre wind facility."

The new contract was signed between Voltalia and Gamesa during Q2 of this year. G114-2.1MW turbines are suitable for the constant-wind and low-turbulence conditions typical in Brazil.

Gamesa's orders for its turbine in Brazil has already exceeded 1GW, making it one of the most contracted products in energy auctions of last year. This new order will help Voltalia strengthen its market in Brazil.
