M&As this week: Caisse des Depots et Consignations and Solar International Group
Caisse des Depots et Consignations and CNP Assurances have reached an agreement with Electricite de France to acquire a 49.9% stake in power transmission company Reseau de Transport d'Electricite (RTE).
Financial institution Caisse des Depots et Consignations will acquire a 29.9% stake, whereas personal insurance company CNP Assurances will acquire 20% stake.
The purchase consideration for the acquisition is approximately €4.09bn ($4.35bn), which puts the full value of the target company at approximately $8.71bn.

Beijing Forever Technology Co has reached an agreement with an electric power company based in Guizhou to acquire 40 million shares representing a 5.2% stake.
The purchase consideration for the acquisition is CNY52.5m ($7.6m).
The acquiring company is a software and technical services and hardware sales provider based in China.
