As per the contract, Vestas will provide and oversee installation of 50 V100-2.0MW turbines for deployment at the Liulongtai project in North-Eastern China. This project will be developed in the Yi County of Jinzhou City, Liaoning province.

"We are honoured to have a long-term customer like CGN, who recognises the value of quality, reliability, and business case certainty that Vestas provides."

Vestas' Asia Pacific and China president Chris Beaufait said: “The cooperation between Vestas and CGN is in its 10th year and with this latest order, the accumulated orders in this partnership have exceeded a 1GW milestone.

“We are honoured to have a long-term customer like CGN, who recognises the value of quality, reliability, and business case certainty that Vestas provides."

The order also features a two-year active output management (AOM) 4000 service contract.

The company claims that since 2000, it has installed around 17,000 turbines across 45 countries, equaling more than 33GW. Vestas will deliver the turbines by Q2 of next year, with commissioning is expected by Q3.
