A short video showing Bronswerk Heat Transfer staff at work.
Bronswerk Heat Transfer (BHT) is a leader in the design, engineering and production of complete heat-transfer products and processes, including heat exchangers, A-frame condensers, condensers, air-cooled coolers (ACC), and shell and tube heat exchangers (STHE). Its products are used in the fields of environment, safety, petrochemical, energy and technology, such as gas treatment.
The company provides engineering and construction solutions worldwide through great expertise and technological capacity.
Heat transfer products
BHT’s heat transfer products include:
- Air-cooled coolers
- Shell and tube heat exchangers
- A-frame condensers
- Double pipe and bajonet heat exchangers
- Unfired heaters
- Compressors and pumps
Materials for heat transfer products
The materials used for BHT’s heat transfer products include carbon steel, fine-grained carbon steel, heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, copper and copper alloy, nickel alloys, titanium and aluminium.

Re-gasification systems, heat recovery systems, pressure vessels and skid assemblies
BHT can also provide turnkey design, manufacturing and commissioning of re-gasification systems, heat-transfer recovery systems, pressure vessels, skid assemblies and modules.
Power-generation heat exchangers
With over 70 years’ experience BHT is considered to be a world leader in the design and manufacturing of heat exchangers for the power generating industry. Its equipment is produced to meet the requirements of either the Bronswerk in-house standards or any international specification its customers’ contracts demand.
BHT designs, manufactures and delivers tailor-made air-cooled coolers (ACC) worldwide, including steam-duct vacuum systems and condensate systems, water-cooled coolers and feed-water heat exchangers, on a turnkey basis when necessary. The size varies from very small to very large.
Because BHT builds tailor-made equipment it takes care of all the customer’s requirements, for instance:
- Size requirements
- Plot space
- Power consumption
- Noise requirements
- Architectural requirements
- Environmental requirements
- Landscape requirements
Ultra-low-noise, ultra-efficient fans
As a result of our intensive research programme a brand new fan has come to life, the Whizz-Wheel® ultra-low-noise, ultra-efficient fan. The fan is lighter and more silent (4-6 dB(A)) than the best competing fans. The Whizz-Wheel® complies with the strictest sound regulations and has a 40% better efficiency compared to currently available alternatives. Its energy consumption reduction is considerable.
The AfvalEnergie Bedrijf (AEB) in Amsterdam, Netherlands, has been processing waste for almost a century. The company aims for maximum environmental efficiency, in the sense that waste does not simply remain waste, but is converted into energy and basic materials.
Air-cooled cooling has advantages compared to cooling with water. More and more fresh watercooling (rivers, lakes and below ground) is disallowed because of its potential thermal and bio-pollution. Sea water requires the use of expensive materials because of its high corrosion potential.
When generating electricity, a fossil fuel - gas, coal, or oil - is converted into heat and subsequently used to generate high pressure, high temperature steam. Then, in a steam turbine connected to a generator, a significant part of the energy in this steam is converted into electrical energy which is then supplied to the power grid.
Eye-Catching Examples of Improved Sustainability in the Power Market
Sewaren 7 is a combined-cycle power plant in Woodbridge, New Jersey, US. PSEG Power’s subsidiary PSEG Fossil developed the 538MW highly efficient power project that produces electricity for 500,000 homes.
Bronswerk provides solutions for challenges in heat transfer and fluid flow systems. Wherever industrial cooling processes are required or cooling processes lack capacity, we offer our clients tailor-made solutions that are innovative, simple, effective and require minimal investment costs.
