Wind energy consultant Deutsche WindGuard GmbH has recently established a Chinese subsidiary.

Deutsche WindGuard (Beijing) Technology Ltd will be the spearhead in the wind energy specialist’s effort to tapping the Asian market.

“After completing the first projects in China in the early 2000s, we have been more and more active on the market since 2015,” explains Gerhard Gerdes, Managing Director of Deutsche WindGuard GmbH, “Opening up a Chinese company was only the next logical step to further strengthen our position on this promising market.”

With Wang Yang as the managing director, an international experienced Chinese wind energy expert will lead the operations of the new company. His prior engagements include positions as Technical Director at Suzlon and AVIC Heavy Machinery, adding up to more than 18 years of experience on the Chinese wind market and comprehensive industry knowledge.

“Our company here in Beijing will be the central contact point for our Chinese and Asian customers. We are also working on setting up a small expert team,” says Wang Yang, Managing Director of Deutsche WindGuard (Beijing), “I am looking forward to contributing my experience to the further expansion of the WindGuard Universe to new international markets.”

Deutsche WindGuard will be present with a stand on the WindEnergy Hamburg next week as well as at the China Wind Power in Beijing in October.
