Earlier this month, Vogt Power International (Vogt), located in Louisville, KY, a subsidiary of Babcock Power, based in Danvers, MA, announced receipt of an award to supply heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) and associated equipment for the CTCC Termocentro Power Plant for C. A. Electricidad de Caracas (EDC).

Vogt Power will design, fabricate and deliver four unfired, three-pressure level with reheat, natural circulation HRSGs, operating behind Siemens SGT6-5000F gas turbines. The HRSGs will be installed at the CTCC Termocentro Power Plant, located near Caracas, Venezuela. The HRSGs will incorporate Vogt’s SMART design, which features a high level of pre-assembly; modules, casing, interconnecting piping, and some structural steel all combined in one box, thereby reducing the number of man-hours needed for site erection.

“We are pleased to be selected to provide our efficient SMART HRSG design. We strive to enable our clients to generate energy within the most effective time frame. Our HRSG technology and associated equipment generate safe, reliable, environmentally friendly low-cost energy,” stated Steve Kapsalis, president and CEO of Vogt Power International.
