Aggreko the world leader in the provision of temporary power and temperature control solutions has been awarded a contract for the provision of a further 50MW of temporary power in Uganda. The contract with Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Ltd will run for three years, commencing in the second quarter of 2008.

The 50MW will be in addition to the 100MW already installed in Uganda. The equipment for the contract will be installed in phases and commissioned during the second quarter of 2008. The value of the contract, excluding fuel, will be around $45 million over three years.
