Sulzher Pumps expands presence in Russia.

Sulzer Pumps has opened its second fully-fledged service centre in the city of Oktyabrsky, Republic Bashkortostan, following the opening of its first in Khimki, Moscow, in September 2011. It has a 24-hour hotline staffed with field service engineers available to provide customers with round-the-clock support.

The Oktyabrsky service centre is a state-of-the-art service centre with an area of 1,500m² and is fully equipped to overhaul and repair all types of rotating equipment. Its close proximity to Ufa, Samara, Orenberg and other industrial cities in the area of oil production fields and refineries brings Sulzer Pumps closer to customers. The service centre houses service technicians, engineering, contract administration and sales staff providing services for a wide range of pumps used for different applications.

Beginning operation in early 2012, the service centre has industry -leading mechanical design and hydraulic development support from the Sulzer Pumps’ engineering and technology groups globally for highly engineered projects. For additional spare parts requirements, it is backed up by a global network of spare parts manufacturing centres, including the parts processing centre in Khimki.

Russia is a significant market for Sulzer Pumps and the aim is to further expand its presence with more service centres in the years to come. Drawing on the global expertise and network, in addition to the high-quality new equipment, the company is now geared to provide world-class service and solutions to customers.
