Wood Group Heavy Industrial Turbines Ltd (WGHIT), part of the Gas Turbine Services Division of John Wood Group PLC (“Wood Group”), has been awarded a $12million long-term contract to provide maintenance service support for the gas turbines and associated equipment owned and operated by Dhofar Power Company SAOC and Dhofar Generating Company SAOC in the Sultanate of Oman.

The packaged maintenance services contract includes the supply of spare parts, component repair and onsite services for six General Electric Frame 6B gas turbines operated at the customer’s new 242MW Salalah Power Station in southern Oman.
