Sulzer Pumps has opened its third service centre in China, located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in south-western China.
With this new facility, Sulzer Pumps has further strengthened its service network within this important market.
The installed base of Sulzer Pumps within the oil and gas, hydrocarbon processing and power industries has been growing at a rapid pace in south-western China over the past few years. The new service centre will cater to the service needs of the installed base within the region, providing technical service support, repairs and overhauling of pumps.
In addition, Sulzer Pumps have recently signed a long-term service and maintenance agreement with PetroChina for the Sichuan Petrochemical project, where approximately 700 pumps are installed.
The new service centre is located close to our customer allowing pumps to be transported quickly to the service centre, minimising logistics time and costs.
The fully-equipped service facility has an extensive range of machine tools, inspection and assembly areas to facilitate overhaul and repair activities for both the Sulzer Pumps range and other original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
In addition to other two service centres in Shanghai and Guangzhou, Sulzer Pumps is well positioned to better serve its customers in China.
