From 26 to 28 July 2010 the Business Line Energy of
GEA Westfalia Separator Systems (GEA WS ST) attended
this year’s CARILEC Engineering Conference, one of
the key events for the Caribbean electricity industry. The
CARILEC, an association of Caribbean electric utility companies, founded in 1989, today comprises 34 full
members and 57 associate members from 31 countries
across the Caribbean. Being an associate member of
CARILEC the Business Line Energy was proud to participate
in this major industry event for the second time.

Together with our service company GEA WS ST and our
sister company, GEA Plate Heat Exchangers (GEA PHE),
we are looking back on three successful days with inspiring
conversations and best practice presentations focusing on the latest developments and issues of the Caribbean energy
sector. The engineering conference, in conjunction with
a trade show being held in St. Maarten, provided a
valuable platform for us to meet and share ideas with
technical experts and professionals from the local electric
utilities.

At the common booth, GEA presented a comprehensive portfolio for efficient power generation – from fuel and
lube oil treatment to cooling and heating solutions.

Power solutions for optimum reliability in power plants

Centrifugal separation technology as well as plate heat

performance. The outstanding separation efficiency of the high-speed Westfalia Separator® eagleclass centrifuges
sustainably optimizes the reliable operation of turbines
and diesel engines in power stations.

The plate heat exchangers from GEA PHE Systems provide precise and efficient heat transfer and ensure
the optimal operation of your units. EcoFlex gasketed
plate heat exchangers are the easy maintenance allrounders,
EcoWeld fully welded plate heat exchangers
offer the highest reliability and large heat transfer areas,
EcoBraze brazed plate heat exchangers deliver compact
design and simple installation, and EcoServe is an after-sales and service programme for plate heat exchangers of all brands worldwide.
