There were 28 electricity procurement contracts announced in the Asia-Pacific region in September 2020, marking a rise of 100% over the last 12-month average of 14, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in September 2020 with 39 contracts and a 33.1% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 29 contracts and a 24.6% share and Electricity Procurement with 28 contracts and a 23.7% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Power Purchase Agreement: 26 contracts and a 92.9% share
  2. Electricity Supply: two contracts and a 7.1% share.
