Asia-Pacific T&D project contracts activity remain flat in Q4 2019

There were 21 T&D project contracts announced in the Asia-Pacific region in Q4 2019, marking a flat growth over the last 12-month average of 21, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q4 2019 with 93 contracts and a 35.5% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 81 contracts and a 30.9% share and Electricity Procurement with 33 contracts and a 12.6% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 19 contracts and a 90.5% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two contracts and a 9.5% share.
