Asia-Pacific T&D project contracts activity up 16% in Q4 2020

There were 22 T&D project contracts announced in the Asia-Pacific region in Q4 2020, marking a rise of 16% over the last four-quarter average of 19, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q4 2020 with 110 contracts and a 35.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 100 contracts and a 32.5% share and Electricity Procurement with 37 contracts and a 12% share during the quarter.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation: 21 contracts and a 95.5% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 4.5% share.

Wind is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D project contracts in Q4 2020
