Europe generation equipment contracts activity up 46% in November 2019

There were 41 generation equipment contracts announced in the Europe region in November 2019, marking a rise of 46% over the last 12-month average of 28, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in November 2019 with 41 contracts and a 47.7% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 15 contracts and a 17.4% share and Power Plant with 13 contracts and a 15.1% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 33 contracts and an 80.5% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four contracts and a 9.8% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: two contracts and a 4.9% share
