Europe power industry contracts activity in December 2020 saw 128 contracts announced, marking a drop of 22% over the last 12-month average of 165, according to GlobalData’s power database.

Looking at contracts by country, the UK led the activity in December 2020 with 19 contracts and a share of 14.8%, down 1.6% over the previous month and up 12% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Romania with 14 contracts and a share of 10.9% and Poland with ten contracts and a share of 7.8% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, France held the top spot with 29 contracts, followed by the UK with 17 and Germany with 12 contracts.

Looking at contracts divided by the type of technology, wind accounted for the largest proportion with 46 contracts and a 58.2% share, followed by solar with 15 contracts and a 19% share and thermal with seven contracts and an 8.9% share.
Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in December 2020, with 42 contracts, followed by Generation Equipment (41) and Power Plant (19).
