Europe power industry contracts activity in June 2020 saw 181 contracts announced, marking a rise of 37% over the last 12-month average of 132, according to GlobalData’s power database.

Looking at contracts by country, France led the activity in June 2020 with 64 contracts and a share of 35.4%, up 31.9% over the previous month and up 52% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Romania with 20 contracts and a share of 11% and the UK with 17 contracts and a share of 9.4% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, France held the top spot with 42 contracts, followed by the UK with 12 and Spain with eight contracts.

Looking at contracts divided by the type of technology, solar accounted for the largest proportion with 68 contracts and a 50.4% share, followed by wind with 51 contracts and a 37.8% share and nuclear with eight contracts and a 5.9% share.
Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, Power Plant was the most popular segment in June 2020, with 76 contracts, followed by T&D Equipment (43) and Generation Equipment (36).
