Europe power industry contracts activity in September 2020 saw 123 contracts announced, marking a drop of 24% over the last 12-month average of 161, according to GlobalData’s power database.

Looking at contracts by country, the UK led the activity in September 2020 with 19 contracts and a share of 15.4%, up 3.2% over the previous month and up 19% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Spain with 12 contracts and a share of 9.8% and Germany with 11 contracts and a share of 8.9% during the month.
Looking at the last 12-month average, France held the top spot with 37 contracts, followed by the UK with 16 and Germany with 11 contracts.

Looking at contracts divided by the type of technology, wind accounted for the largest proportion with 47 contracts and a 50.5% share, followed by solar with 23 contracts and a 24.7% share and thermal with 11 contracts and an 11.8% share.
Looking at power industry contracts divided by segment in Europe as tracked by GlobalData, Generation Equipment was the most popular segment in September 2020, with 52 contracts, followed by T&D Equipment (27) and Power Plant (24).
