Europe T&D equipment contracts activity down 19% in November 2020

There were 22 T&D equipment contracts announced in the Europe region in November 2020, marking a drop of 19% over the last 12-month average of 27, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Europe region in November 2020 with 42 contracts and a 35.3% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 22 contracts and an 18.5% share and Electricity Procurement with 18 contracts and a 15.1% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 18 contracts and an 81.8% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: three contracts and a 13.6% share
  3. Project Implementation: one contract and a 4.5% share.

Wind is top technology for Europe T&D equipment contracts in November 2020

Looking at T&D equipment contracts by the type of technology in the Europe region, wind accounted for six contracts with a 100% share.
