North America electricity procurement contracts activity up 26% in April 2020

There were 24 electricity procurement contracts announced in the North America region in April 2020, marking a rise of 26% over the last 12-month average of 19, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Electricity Procurement stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in April 2020 with 24 contracts and a 33.3% share, followed by Power Plant with 15 contracts and a 20.8% share and T&D Equipment with 11 contracts and a 15.3% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
