There were 30 electricity procurement contracts announced in the North America region in May 2020, marking a rise of 50% over the last 12-month average of 20, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Electricity Procurement stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in May 2020 with 30 contracts and a 35.3% share, followed by Power Plant with 17 contracts and a 20% share and Energy Storage with 16 contracts and an 18.8% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Power Purchase Agreement: 28 contracts and a 93.3% share
