North America generation equipment contracts activity up 87% in September 2020

There were 28 generation equipment contracts announced in the North America region in September 2020, marking a rise of 87% over the last 12-month average of 15, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in September 2020 with 28 contracts and a 31.1% share, followed by Electricity Procurement with 27 contracts and a 30% share and Power Plant with 13 contracts and a 14.4% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 25 contracts and an 89.3% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: three contracts and a 10.7% share.

Wind is top technology for North America generation equipment contracts in September 2020
