North America power plant contracts activity up 100% in March 2020

There were 34 power plant contracts announced in the North America region in March 2020, marking a rise of 100% over the last 12-month average of 17, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in March 2020 with 34 contracts and a 42.5% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 15 contracts and an 18.8% share and T&D Equipment with 14 contracts and a 17.5% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
