T&D equipment contracts in Q3 2019 saw 33 contracts announced, marking a drop of 43% over the last four-quarter average of 58, according to GlobalData’s power industry contracts database.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 26 contracts and a 78.8% share
  2. Project Implementation: five contracts and a 15.2% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two contracts and a 6.1% share.

Europe leads T&D equipment activity in Q3 2019

Comparing contracts activity in T&D equipment segment in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 21 contracts and a share of 63.6% during Q3 2019, followed by Asia-Pacific with seven contracts and a 21.2% share and Middle East and Africa with four contracts and a 12.1% share.
