Brazil power industry registered a 1.5% decline in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 3.63% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.89% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.37% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Brazil power industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.17% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil power industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 39.23% in June 2021, a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 26.24% share, an increase of 20.25% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 17.96%, registering a 22.64% rise from May 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 11.33%, up 10.81% over the previous month.
Top five power companies in Brazil IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 5.93% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil power industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Companhia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista posted 328 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 5.47% over the previous month, followed by Iberdrola with 14 jobs and a 250% growth. Energisa with 11 IT jobs and Luz Del Sur SAA with 2 jobs, recorded a 37.5% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Enel recorded an 83.33% decline with 2 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.83%, up by 10.73% from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 13.26% share, a decline of 4% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 6.91% share, down 19.35% over May 2021.
