Philippines power industry IT recruitment activity rises 39.3%  in June 2021

Philippines power industry registered a 39.3% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 47.95% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.

Out of the power industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.27% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 0.77% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Philippines power industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines power industry in June 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 62.96% in June 2021, an 183.33% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 13.58% share, decline of 77.55% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 13.58%, registering a 175% rise from May 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.41%, down 33.33% over the previous month.

Top five power companies in Philippines IT recruitment activity in June 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 1.25% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Philippines power industry during June 2021 over May 2021.

Luz Del Sur SAA posted 37 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 94.74% over the previous month, followed by SunPower with 23 jobs and a 54% drop. Schneider Electric with 13 IT jobs and Clearway Energy with 4 jobs, recorded an 18.18% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Manila Electric recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during June 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.72%, up by 3.08% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 9.88% share, a decline of 11.11% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.41% share, down 14.29% over May 2021.
